Nonwovens - Applications under the brand name Viledon®

Since the true placing discovery of nonwoven material back in 1936 by the chemist Carl Nottebohm, Freudenberg was determined to continuosly do development work on this highly versatile material, and opened up new markets for it all over the world.

The breakthrough came 1950: special nonwovens materials were developed and distributed under the brand name Viledon, which could be used even in sophisticated applications. This was the origin of all different applications of nonwovens materials. Today Viledon is used in almost every industry.
